This policy explains what personal data is collected through this website, and how data is handled in the search engine marketing consulting work carried out under the name Linda Hoeberigs. It covers two separate things: visitors to lindahoeberigs.com, and clients whose advertising accounts are analysed as part of a consulting engagement.
Who is responsible
Linda Hoeberigs, based in the Randstad, Netherlands, is the data controller for this website and for the consulting work described below. Questions about this policy, or any request relating to your data, can be sent to hello@lindahoeberigs.com.
This website
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and move through the pages. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, the approximate region you are in, the type of device and browser you use, and the site or search that referred you. This data is aggregated. It is not used to identify you personally and it is not combined with any other source.
The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. You can prevent it entirely by using your browser's tracking protection, by blocking cookies for this domain, or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
If you contact me by email, your message and address are used only to reply and to carry out any work that follows. Email is not added to a mailing list and is never sold, rented or shared for marketing purposes.
Client advertising data
As part of search engine marketing consulting work, I use a keyword planning tool that reads data from a client's Google Ads account. Some of that data consists of search terms, meaning phrases that real people typed into Google, which is why it is covered here rather than treated as ordinary business reporting.
What is accessed
- Keyword ideas and historical metrics: search volume, seasonality, competition level and bid ranges
- Historical search term performance from the client's own account
- Basic account identification, currency and timezone settings
How it is used
This data is used only to produce keyword recommendations for the client whose account it came from. It is stored locally, analysed to group and rank keywords, and delivered back to that client. It is not shared with third parties, and it is not used for any other client's work.
Access, retention and security
The tool runs locally on my own machine and is not hosted or publicly reachable. There is no login and no interface available to anyone else. Access to a client's account is granted by the client and can be withdrawn by them at any time from within Google Ads. Data pulled for an engagement is retained only for the duration of that engagement and deleted within 90 days of it ending, or sooner on request. Devices used for this work are encrypted at rest and protected by full disk encryption and account level multi factor authentication.
Google user data
The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In practice this means Google user data is used only to provide and improve the keyword recommendations delivered to the client it belongs to. It is not transferred to others except as necessary to provide that service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition. It is not used for advertising, and it is not read by humans other than me, except where the client has given explicit consent, where it is necessary for security purposes or to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymised.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to request access to the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how it is processed, and to receive it in a portable format. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@lindahoeberigs.com. Requests are answered within one month.

This policy may be updated as the services or the tools behind them change. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
